Content: Early miscellaneous papers include the extension or creation of boundary lines for townships and boroughs, appointments to the bar, issues regarding the location of election sites, appointments of tipstaffs, licenses to keep a public house, petitions for discharge from jail and pardons, petitions for justice of the peace, township officer and magistrates, bonds for treasurer, appointment of deputies and supervisors, resolutions of tied elections, election returns for commissioners. May also include records concerning indentured servants and apprentices. York County's early miscellaneous records contain petitions for a town clock, fire department equipment, jail repairs, and petitions regarding county buildings. Extraditions and forfeitures also appear in this record series beginning in the mid 1900's.
