Requesting Records
Records can be requested from the York County Archives by visiting the facility, by email, or through the US mail. The York County Archives does not accept phone requests. Please click on our link to
Records Available. If applicable, please search our on-line indexes for references. If the record series is not indexed on-line, the Archives will search the series when provided with specific names and, if possible, dates and townships. If you do not receive a response from us after a week, please contact us again. The York County Archives observes all government holidays.
Payment
The York County Archives will inform you of the cost for copies requested; please do not send any payment without knowing the cost for your request. The archives is now able to accept payment for mail and email requests by credit card. Please note: PayGOV accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover Credit Cards. Please note, when using a credit card, PayGOV has a minimum charge of $1.00. If you have any questions about paying by credit card, you will need to contact the PayGOV customer service center. We also accept checks, cash or money orders. Please make checks payable to York County.
