Description: Desertion, also called Non-Maintenance, is defined as the criminal act of abandonment or willful failure to provide for the care, protection or support of a spouse or child. Orders for maintenance are orders to financially support a spouse, children or elderly parents.
Surety of the Peace is a promise of good behavior required by someone who is suspect of future misbehavior.
